Non-Violent Silk
Non-violent silk, also known as peace silk, is a type of silk produced without harming or killing silkworms. Unlike conventional methods, where silkworms are steamed or boiled to death, non-violent silk allows the silkworms to complete their natural life cycle before the cocoons are harvested. According to PETA, up to 3,000 silkworms are killed to produce half a kilogram of silk.
