What does your home mean to you?

My home is an unpretentious place, which reflects who I am and let me ”just be”. What I like the most about the apartment is the light from the big windows and the floor plan with a sightline throughout the apartment.

What does the bedroom mean to you? Do you have any morning and evening routines?

Oh yes, my slow mornings. I need a soft start. And every now and then I stay in bed, working for a few hours. In my bedroom I also have kept a space for my yoga mat. So, my bedroom truly is the place where I recharge and start over. I am worse with evening routines. I have tried to take up meditation, but I am often so tired when I go to bed that I fall asleep immediately.

What are your three best interior design tips? What is important to consider when shopping for sustainable interior design?

Keep it simple! Reflect on what you already have. Most of the time we need to reduce a lot of stuff from our homes to find harmony. Then add slowly and thoughtfully. Go for genuine materials and timeless pieces that reflects who you are. Find out what you like and make a plan. Play around with moodboards to get the grip on the whole picture.

How do you create a peaceful feeling at home?

By surrounding myself with a few selected details and avoiding things that require too much attention. And constantly reminding myself that "Less is all we need." To set the tone I use low key goods, natural materials and a monochrome color scheme with soft shades tone-in-tone.

What does sustainability mean to you? What are your best tips for shopping sustainably?

An approach to life in general, that lasts over time. To act with insight and a long-term perspective. Make an inventory of what you already have. And ask yourself: ”Do I really need this one?” Most of the time the answer is no. And when you do need to buy something new. Choose wisely. Or by vintage, if you long for something new in your life.
